About
Dr. Snehal Bavaskar is a Medical Retina Specialist with expertise in Pediatric Retina, with a special focus on Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) and intraocular tumors. She completed her MBBS from SBH Government Medical College, Dhule, securing a distinction in Ophthalmology, followed by DNB Ophthalmology at BARC Hospital, Mumbai. She further pursued advanced subspecialty training with a long-term fellowship in Medical Retina at Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai, and successfully cleared the FICO examinations. She also completed a focused short-term fellowship in ocular oncology to strengthen her expertise in intraocular tumors.
She is currently working as a Paediatric and Adult Medical Retina Consultant at Narayana Nethralaya, where she manages complex retinal conditions in both children and adults, with particular emphasis on ROP and retinal oncology.
