He completed his medical education at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum, in 2001, followed by a postgraduate degree in Ophthalmology from the prestigious Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, Minto Eye Hospital, Bengaluru, in 2006.

Dedicated to community eye care, he played a key role in establishing Shree Sharadadevi Eye Hospital and Research Centre, Pavagada, a rural charitable eye hospital, where he served for two years. He then worked as a Consultant in the Department of Cataract at Shree Vivekananda Sevashrama Eye Hospital, Bengaluru (2008-2009).
In 2009, he joined Vasan Eye Care Hospital, Karnataka Region, as Chief Medical Officer and Senior Consultant in the Department of Cataract, Refractive, and Implant Vision Correction Services, where he worked for nine years. During this period, he was actively involved in teaching, presenting research papers at national conferences, and serving as an invited speaker at various professional forums.

Dr Ravi Krishna. After the surgery am feeling very nice. My distant vision is 100% and am very happy with the overall process of cataract removal and am going for the left eye surgery with the same doctor next week I have undergone the left eye cataract surgery as well and the outcome has been excellent. When Dr. Ravi Krishna suggested that he would under-correct my left eye a little bit to give me better intermediate distance coverage, I was a bit apprehensive initially and specifically asked him whether I would get headache. He assured me that I would not get headache and I can confirm now that indeed is the case. The outcome of his suggestion is just awesome. My right eye is dominant for distant vision and the left eye is dominant for intermediate vision after the surgeries on both the eyes. I am a software engineer and laptop is my lifeline. I did not want to use specs for working on laptop. I am even getting some amount of coverage for the near vision as well. I am able to read Bhagwadgeetha without specs. The performance of Johnson & Johnson Eyhance lenses on my both eyes is just awesome. Dr. Ravikrishna understood my lifestyle and provided a perfect solution. I am immensely happy already and am excited that things will improve even further after a month.

We are extremely happy with the ambience and the overall services offered at Narayana Nethralaya. Recently we visited the hospital for my mother’s Cataract surgery. Dr. Ravi Krishna, our consulting surgeon, is highly skilled and adept, puts patients at ease and explained us the complete procedure and carried out a flawless surgery. Our interactions with Dr. Jayashree, Dr. Keerthi Shetty and Dr. Chaithra Jayadeva have been excellent. Equally efficient and amicable are the support staff, the nurses in OT (Mary, Savitha), lab technicians, attenders helping with wheel chair support (Arun, Ravi, Venkatesh and many others) and the counsellors (Bhanushree, Shruthi, Saraswati). Dr. Ravikrishna did the cataract surgery for my mother. He is a great doctor with always a smile on his face. He is highly proficient and exceptionally efficient. The procedure took just 30 mins to complete with a total turnaround of just 3hrs. The post surgery check up and counseling was really good. Doctor and counsellors explained in details do and don'ts. She is keeping well now with clear vision. I would also like to emphasize the efficient well defined process the hospital has. It's a very safe place to get the surgery done. During this covid 19 pandamic, I underwent cateract surgery for both my eyes n the hospital is soo highly sophisticated n well equipped. I would want to share my experience at Narayana Netralaya: I visited on a saturday at the Rajaji nagar branch and being a weekend it was crowded. While entering the hospital, I had a small tussle with the security but the head of security was kind enough to calm me down. Next, the receptionist was very kind and helped me with the proceedings. I had to undergo an eyetest and meet doctor Ravi Krishna Dr was very patient and explained the whole procedure clearly he even cleared all our doubts very well. I had been with my mother for her cataract issues. She received fantastic care starting from her arrival till her surgery. Staff are very caring and professional. We never felt ignored or unattended at any point. Dr Naren Shetty put my mother at ease immediately. She was very scared and kept changing her mind about surgery earlier but Ms Meenakshi Ravi Senior Manager and the other staff made her feel comfortable and confident to go through the surgery. I had wonderful experience in Narayana Netralaya..I had come with my father for treatment for cataract for both eyes ..from registration till counseling all personal treated very well and I never felt wondering what to do next ..Dr Ravi Krishna was very humble and gave lot of confidence..I applied for insurance and the Insurance dept was very nice patient and supported will all required documentation.. which helped me hassle free procedure ..Thanks a Lot to all of Narayana Netralaya..All the best.

I went for cataract surgery and met 4 Doctors namely Aishwarya, Rohita nayak, Ankush kawali and Ravi krishna. Among those these Doctors Ravi krishna sir is very kind, humble, caring, co-operative and supportive. He has lot of patience to do conversation with patients. As an individual I would like to give him 10 ✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️ stars. I wish god blesh him to live long life. And staff's are also well supportive. Dr Ravi krishna. My dad was advised to be operated for cataract. After the surgery, my dad's vision is improved and we are satisfied with the services of NN. But the pricing for the cataract surgery through laser assisted is costly. So unless the doctor suggest or there is other problem which requires laser assisted surgery, one should opt for without laser surgery. Do ask doctor what they suggest. We visited Narayana Nethralaya eye hospital for the cataract eye surgery of my father. He was operated upon by Dr. Ravi Krishna. The procedure was done with the least of discomfort to my father and post procedure my father was very comfortable without any issues or complications. The hospital staff were delightful and assisted us and made my father comfortable in all aspects. The hospital is kept very clean and there are staff to assist you at all stages.

I had taken my Mother for a eye checkup as she had cataract. The process followed in the hospital from the time of checking in to hospital to the surgery all went well. Dr. Ravi Krishna checked my Mother and did the surgery as well. Post surgery there were no complications. We have come for the first check up now post surgery and all looks good.
