Dr. Priya B V completed her MBBS from Madras Medical College, Chennai in 1997 & MS ophthalmology from Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, Madras Medical College, Chennai in 2000. She did her fellowship in General ophthalmology at the Visakha Eye Hospital, Visakhapatnam and a Fellowship in Vitreo retina at Minto Ophthalmic Hospital, Bangalore in 2005. She has also worked as a senior resident in the vitreo retinal department at PGIMER, Chandigarh. Her main areas of interest include vitreoretinal surgery, age related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. She is currently a consultant in vitreoretina at Narayana Nethralaya-1, Rajaji Nagar, Bangalore since 2005.

I was getting my brother aged 70 years for an eye treatment with Dr.Priya, the surgery was done in august 2019 and reviews with doctor was totally comfortable and the staffs of the hospital were totally cooperative with their good expertise. It’s a long association with Narayana Nethralaya since 1980s when dr .Bhujang Shetty had his clinic near Harishchandra Ghat in Rajajinagar.??? Dr.Naren Shetty has conducted a cataract surgery on my sister-in-law for her left eye and after two weeks on the second eye too. He is a very good doctor and carried the hospitality from his dad Dr.Bhujang Shetty who we know right from the time when they had their small clinic cum hospital near Harishchandra Ghat in Rajajingar and right from my grandma, father and mother and few other relatives have always been visiting Narayana Nethralaya from 1983. Their vision is clear in serving humans. Their pricing is optional with different types of surgeries and they don’t enforce any high cost surgeries, even if we opt a high end surgery they study the feasibility and if it’s not applicable they express that very transparently. A hospital with enormous expertise and their employees reflect the vision of Dr.Bhujang Shetty and his vision for Narayana Nethralaya. Will look for ward for more of my relatives and friends to visit this hospital for any further treatment for their eyes.????

My Mother is being treated here by Dr. Yathish, Dr.Dhanraj and Dr.Priya. Overall the interaction and experience of visiting here is truly satisfying. All three of the doctors are very genuinely caring and very calm and supportive for any questions. At the same time, they point out the necessity of any immediate surgery or treatment needed without delaying. I would say communication has been very clear. Our day during a periodic check up starts at 8:30 and ends by 11 so for people who travel from far like us, they help to accommodate the time in morning slots which is very supportive. We also saw modification done during this covid situation taking details of patients, sanitizing, the staff wearing PPE etc... Very excellent care and treatment. I reached out to Narayana Nethralaya to consult for cataract treatment for my mother where Dr. Priya said us that my mother also need to undergo vitrectomy( retina surgery) With all faith in God I decided to opt for surgery. Treatment by Dr. Priya was excellent and I was so happy when I heard from my mother that she has her vision back. All staffs are so helpful and caring. I would recommend this hospital for everyone who has such problems. Especially I would recommend Dr. Priya for her experienced and excellent treatment.
