About
Dr Prathibha Hande is a vitreo retina consultant with 18 years of experience in managing complex medical and surgical retinal disorders. She completed her postgraduate training at Bangalore Medical College, followed by a fellowship in vitreo retina at the same institution. She subsequently served as Consultant and Head of Retina Services at Bangalore West Lions Eye Hospital for seven years.
Her clinical interests include diabetic vitrectomy, retinal detachment surgery, and advanced retinal imaging. A dedicated academician, Dr Hande has been a member of the teaching faculty since 2011 and has mentored numerous postgraduate students and vitreo retina fellows.

I reported to doctor Prathibha Hande with a damage in my retina .I was suggested to undergo go a surgery for placing a flexo lense replacing my retina. The surgery was treated very well by doctor prathibha madam and now I have a better vision than earlier.This was a very critical operation with multiple observation which was taken care very well. My wife Mrs Mita Biswas underwent retina treatment under Dr.Pratibha Hande she was well treated by the staffs and the Dr explained the pro and con of the treatment in a nice way. Only suggestion that I would like to mention, is after application of the injection during the four hours observation period the patient can be provided with some short of food/refreshments as is done in hospitals in Kolkata.
