Dr. Moupia completed MBBS from Govt Medical College, Raipur in the year 2001. She completed DNB, Ophthalmology 2007 followed by long term Fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery (Orbit and Oculoplasty ) from the prestigious Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai in 2009. She has passed ICO exams in 2007. She was awarded National Scholarship by Govt. of India in 1993. She has many presentations, publications and textbook chapters to her credit and has been chief instructor and invited speaker at various national and international conferences. Her areas of interest includes Eyelid and Orbital surgeries , Endoscopic Lacrimal Procedures and Eye Cancers. She has keen interest in Facial Aesthetics . This review is about Dr. Moupia, DCR procedure & Narayana Nethralaya Bannerghatta.My wife [Reya, ID - H 5082734] was having tearing in eyes and after couple of diagnosis it was identified that she needs to undergo a DCR surgery.We were preferring to do the procedure internally but wanted confirmation from a doctor specialized in internal DCR procedure.As usual I was doing my research with known doctors and google. I got to understand while there were lot of doctors available to perform external only few doctors perform internal DCR procedure, one among the reasons being it would need knowledge on both Eyes & Nose. Through one of the eye doctors of NN, I got to hear about Dr. Moupia and we decided to meet her.As usual I was doing my research with known doctors and google. The first meet itself with Dr. Moupia we understood that we don’t need to consult any other doctor for DCR procedure and that we are in safe hands. She performed the surgery successfully (internally) and currently we are doing the follow-up visits with her.I have never seen a doctor dedicating so much time and care to a patient. Dr.Moupia is jovial, frank and humble. More than a doctor she is a great human being. Also, she is available for any doubts and she herself will call if she wants to discuss anything. We felt as though one of our family member was performing the surgery for us and that is the confidence you will get with Dr. Moupia. I would like to thank Dr. Moupia from the bottom of our heart.Also, Narayana Nethralaya Bannerghatta branch is a fantastic hospital (well maintained) and I felt the staff members are also great, responsible and have a helping mentality.I highly recommend Dr. Moupia & Narayana Nethralaya Bannerghatta for DCR procedure especially internal.I have one suggestion to the Hospital management.It was with great difficulty that I was able to find Dr. Moupia which I felt in this era of technology should have been made more easier.I was surprised that I was not able to search for Dr. Moupia through internet who according to me is an expert doctor with various specializations especially for internal DCR procedure and we have very few doctors in Bangalore performing DCR procedure internally.Even though her details are available in Narayana Nethralaya website I was never able find her in my regular google searches with keywords like internal DCR procedures, bangalore etc.Nowadays when everything is considered as business, very rarely we get to meet genuine people like Dr. Moupia and I wish more and more needy people/patients get to meet Dr. Moupia for better health and care.

I recently underwent a successful operative procedure—right eye excision of a lesion—performed by Dr. Moupia Mukhopadhyay, Consultant Ophthalmic Plastic Surgeon, at Narayana Nethralaya on Bannerghatta Road, Bangalore. The entire experience was outstanding from start to finish. This isn’t our first time trusting Narayana Nethralaya—they previously performed cataract surgeries on my mother in 2017 and 2018. Both those experiences were highly positive, and this latest procedure lived up to that exceptional standard yet again. The support staff are helpful, knowledgeable and well organised. the inter facility coordination is also impeccable as initially I had consulted at their Rajajinagar branch, who refererd me to the Bannerghatta Branch to facilitate smooth cashless insurance processing, as the Rajajinagar center was in the midst of some procedural changes with insurance related issues. The insurance counselor should also be thanked for his good advise. Dr Moupia is extremely professional and took time explaining things and answering all queries demonstrating great patience. My Father is 67years old and was diagnosed with mucinous carcinoma (cancer tumour) in his right eye upper eyelid. We were referred to Narayan Netralaya by our doctor in Belgaum. In Narayan Netralaya we met Dr. Moupia Mukhopadhyay and experienced that she has lot of empathy towards the patients. She was very keen in explaining us the procedure in detail regarding the surgery as well as the tumour growth and how it can be handled. Her diagnosis was very convincing and perfect. Surgery was for 30min and the tumour was removed. Dr. Moupia was a very big moral support for us. The patience, care and dedication the doctor showed towards us was tremendous. The surgery , External DCR was done by Dr. Moupia. One of the experienced and humble doctor in the organization. Until and unless we understand about the problem my mother had the things which had to done to over come the problem she had us in the cabin and explained each and every point of the surgery which was very important for a patients like my mother who is very scared of doctor and surgeries. We visited the Narayana Netralaya - Aesthetic studio for the first time in October 2020 for Facial problem. As the medicines were not giving positie response,my wife had the first Botox injections in October 20 from Dr. Moupia. The ambience of the Aesthetic studio is very nice. The secretary Jyoti, was very helpful in arranging the appointments, to helping the Doctor in all the things necessary for the treatment. The first dose of Botox was very effective and my wife could start taking photos of herself which she had not been doing for nearly a decade because of the facial problem. We came to Narayana Netralaya for a Probing surgery for my 18 months old daughter. We met Dr Moupia and she explained us the complete procedure of the surgery and various steps involved. The surgery was under General Anesthesia and for about 15-20 mins max, everything was well handled and a success. We were so glad we took this step towards giving our child a timely solution for her watering, discharging and a very annoying problem. I didn't know that a visit to NN Bgta rd., for an eye problem would end up leaving me with beautiful skin like never before… There is an Aesthetics studio here with a very kind doctor Dr Moupia Mukhopadhyay who helped me get rid of the dark spots and uneven skintone that I suffered from. I went to the hospital with a complaint of vision being obstructed by a lump on my eyelid. I was advised to consult Dr. Moupia Mukhopadyay who is an Oculo-Plastic surgeon with the hospital. She diagnosed the issue to be a nevus on my eyelid that would require a surgical removal procedure. The care and treatment provided for all stages of the medical process was really good. I have done both eye upper lid dermato chalasis with Dr. Moupia Mukhopadhyay dated 04/02/2020. The surgery is very much successful and Dr.Moupia is also very helpful, understanding and awesome☺?. I had dead tumor on my upper eye lid and got solution to operate it. All activities was handled and operated by Dr. Moupia Mukhopadhy. It was an operation for excision of upper eye lid nevus by Dr. Moupia. It was a weldone job by her that things operated went without any discomfort and I came back to my normal activities within prescribed timeline.
