About
Dr. Bhanumathi M is an ophthalmologist with 28 years of experience, specializing in paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus. She completed her MBBS from Bangalore Medical College, followed by DOMS from Minto Eye Hospital, Bangalore Medical College. She later obtained her DNB in Ophthalmology from Narayana Nethralaya.
Her clinical work focuses on paediatric eye conditions like Refractive errors, Amblyopia or lazy eye, Paediatric Cataracts, Strabismus (Squint) evaluation and management in both adults and children. Over the course of her career, she has handled a wide range of cases in both outpatient and surgical settings. She has also trained post graduate DNB students and fellows in Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismology.
Dr. Bhanumathi has also participated in academic and professional conferences. Her work was recognized with the Best Video Award at the Third World Congress of Paediatric Ophthalmology.
She currently practices at NN1 with consulting hours from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Saturday (except Thursday – OT Day). Her role includes regular outpatient care, surgical responsibilities, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams as required.
